Netbiscuits is the global leader in software solutions for adaptive mobile web experiences used by brands worldwide. Their technology helps reduce the cost, time and risk involved in developing mobile web applications that deliver a customized, superior mobile user experience across all connected devices. In 2012, Netbiscuits secured $27m of investment with a view to extending its sales and marketing capabilities as well as its focus on research and development.
In December 2012, Atherton Stone was engaged on an exclusive 10 position assignment for Netbiscuits. The focus was on building a Digital Marketing and Product team based in new offices in London and, whilst the positions were time critical due to an existing rebranding project, the CMO made it clear the company was not willing to sacrifice the quality of hire.
Atherton Stone placed 10 roles with Netbiscuits over an 8 week period. Once engaged, a clear hiring plan was created and a meeting with each hiring manager organised to ensure the requirement was properly briefed. Interview slots were booked in advance as was a weekly project meeting to track progress. Due to the exclusive nature of the assignment, Atherton Stone was able to engage the research team exclusively and create a shortlist of candidates for each role.
Positions Recruited Include:

Daniel Weisbeck – CMO
I engaged Mark on the recommendation of a colleague who had worked with him previously. I needed to make a number of key hires in the Marketing and Product teams that were time critical. Mark took the time to understand both my requirements as well as the culture of the team and then delivered a selection of strong CV’s against this criteria. In total, Mark successfully placed 10 people within my team who have become the foundation of a successful marketing and product restructuring. I have no hesitation recommending him based on the service he provided as well as the after placement care.

Mark recruited me for a job that I love that I wouldn’t have been in today if it wasn’t for his efforts. I was comfortably moving from a contractor to a permanent role, not looking around actively and not even really open to recruiters as I generally get approached for roles I’m not interested in. When Mark approached me on LinkedIn he sounded convinced that he had found me (and the company) the perfect match. I initially doubted it but the way he talked about the products and culture of the company, the people I’d be working with, their quest for a unique combination of skillset and personality that he believed I possessed somehow sparked my interest and made me want to move out of my comfort zone and get that job. I felt I was talking to a dedicated recruiter for the company rather than someone who doesn’t care whether he places you at a large multinational, a government organisation, a tiny start up or anything in between.
